There is nothing that warms our heart more than hearing kind words from happy employees. We strive to make every driver’s experience at Oakley Transport great, and receiving positive feedback always makes our day.
Recently, we received some extra nice words from a long time Oakley warrior, Scooter Poe, and couldn’t help but share them with you. We appreciate you, Scooter, just as much as you do us! “I’ve been here just under a year and I can say I will never leave as long as I’m healthy enough to truck. Matt Davis, Carly Reifenrath and Tony Bivens have helped me a lot. I ran for Tony on a short dedicated haul from Mission, TX to Florida. During that time, I had two family members pass and I was able to go say my goodbyes. [Carly and Matt] got me a load that went by my house. I got calls and texts from office personnel while I was off for a couple days. They checked in on my family and me. I have never worked for a company that did that. My gratitude is huge because I got to tell my grandmother goodbye and talk to her one more time. A lot of driver managers and companies claim to be family oriented. Recruiters say stuff to get you hired and then forget you. I gotta say, Oakley isn’t just a job where you’re a number. As long as I’m able to continue driving, Oakley Transport will be my home. I can’t thank y’all enough for all the love and support y’all have given me. I personally want to thank this company for being more than just a transportation/trucking company. You truly and honestly feel like family. Thank you, Oakley family, for being what you say you are — a family oriented company. That’s no lie!” — Scooter Poe

At Oakley Transport, our drivers are the backbone of our company and maintaining their happiness is our priority. As a result, we are constantly looking for solutions to better their experiences on the road, at the terminal and with the customer. Now available, Oakley drivers can weigh their loads right from the comfort of their seat. This can be accomplished through the WeighMyTruck app, to which drivers can register their Comdata card to make payment options quicker and easier. Typically, a weigh in requires multiple steps before a driver can return to the road. What can sometimes take over an hour, will now only take a mere 5 minutes with the WeighMyTruck app. After 22 CAT scale transactions, drivers can save up to 11 hours on the road and have a positive impact on the HOS clock. The steps are simple. Line up the truck on the scale, open the app and verify the information. The cashier and weigh master will then take the reins from there, weighing the truck and printing and signing the ticket. The payment and a digital scale ticket will be automatically processed through each driver’s Comdata card. To watch a quick video on how this works click here |
