Oakley Transport, Inc. is closely monitoring the impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19) on the nation. The safety of our employees, their families, customers, shippers, receivers and vendors is our top priority. We are following the guidelines provided by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), World Health Organization (WHO), the State of Florida health authorities. Because of our nationwide, Mexican and Canadian services we are taking into consideration the decisions being made by authorities across North America.
Oakley Transport, Inc. is one of the country’s leading bulk food ingredient transportation companies with services to a wide portfolio of food, beverage & pharmaceutical companies.
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) has included, among other things, “food and agriculture, transportation and logistics” in its March 19, 2020 Memorandum on Identification of Essential Critical Infrastructure Workers During Covid-19 Response, specifically naming “food manufacturer employees and their supplier employees,” and with respect to Critical manufacturing “Workers necessary for the manufacturing of materials and products needed for medical supply chains, food and agriculture.”

As a result, Oakley Transport, Inc. is fully operational, and our business operations remain open to continue to provide services to our customers and communities during this challenging time.

Our employees follow the strictest of Good Manufacturing Practices as we continue to adhere to our Food Safety Programs. We can assure you that our services will remain the high-quality premium service we are known for.

December 7, 2020-Current Implemented Community Health & Safety Measures:
OakleyTransport, Inc. is implementing the following preventative actions to help slow the spread of COVID-19 and ensure the continued operation of the company:
- Employees who are sick or have come in contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 will be instructed to stay home and seek medical advice. Employees that display symptoms of being sick while at work, will be sent home. Prior to returning to work Oakley employees must take a COVID test and have a negative result before returning to in office/on facility work.
- Providing ongoing employee education about the coronavirus throughout the workplace, including posters, handouts, and emails and videos from the CDC, Health Department, and other health organizations.
- Weekly meetings with our leadership team to keep staff current with coronavirus information and Company strategy.
- Emails & Discussions to employees reviewing the Oakley Transport Health and Hygiene and GMP policy.
- We have implemented a more robust and frequent cleaning protocol of surfaces that are frequently touched within the offices, employee break room, restrooms, as well as instructed all drivers to continually clean their workspaces in their trucks.
- Foot traffic in all terminals has been reduced & re-routed.
- New hire classes are limited to ensure social distancing.
- Some departments may implement split scheduling onsite staff & work from home staff to increase social distancing.
- Office areas and tank wash areas continue to be cleaned and sanitized according to our Food Safety Management System and employees continue to practice Good Manufacturing Practices.
- All visitors will be required to answer a COVID health questionnaire upon arrival and will not be able to enter the facility if they are displaying symptoms of being sick.
- Non-essential visitors will not be allowed in the facility.
- Non-essential face to face meetings will be limited and are encouraged to be replaced with email and phone/video calls.
- Business travel has been limited until further notice.
- Established the Human Resources Department as the point-personnel to monitor daily/in the moment changes and provide information to the team.
- Implemented and retrained employees on the use of TeleDoc, as a virtual healthcare provider.
- Continuously supply our staff & driving professionals with needed PPE and other essential items as needed.

Current Operations Action Plan:
- Oakley Transport, Inc. can and may adopt work from home schedules and split shift schedules for our office employees to increase separation and social distancing. 100% of our office personnel have remote capabilities.
- Our Driver Professionals will remain in communication with their driver managers, updating them on their personal and professional needs.
